Dear Margy,
I recieved your letter several days ago and was very glad to hear from you. Wanted to write each of you for sending me a Xmas gift, but have been so busy I did not have the time. Thank you very much. You know I've been getting all kinds of shocks. A letter from Mary Jane and yours. Never thought I would hear from you. I really don't like to get shocks like that. How have you benen Margie? This dam Army is about to
( 2 ) drive me nuts. Since I wish I could jump in that old "crate" I had and sdo as I pleased. As you said those were the good old days. From the looks of things I'll be about a hundread yeards old when this war is over and then I won't be able to run around like I use to. I get in these jeeps here and wish I had you all in it. Would you ever get a ride? There nicebumpy roads are the berrie. Hell Margy (Please pardon the mistaken as I thought spelt you name Margie) there is
( 3 ) very little news from here. The chinese girls and myself don't get along so good. I can understand them but they can't unerstand me ha ha. Will close for now. Tell everyone I said Hell-o

As Ever & lots of Love
Lowie
P.S. Your envelope was strictly on the beam.
