Dear Margie:
Recieved your letter this morning and though I'd better answer right away while I had the chance. I was very gald to hear from you and also that you had a birthday. It may be a little late but at least I can do is wish you a happy birthday! Well about this office work " " in getting along swell but to tell you the truth I would rather be out on the "line" with the rest of the "Suicide Squad". You get more action out there than you do in an office. About my duties well I am Pay Master, File Check, Record Check, and evert thing else. I am kept pretty busy but one thing I don't have to take any dictation. I do quite alot of typing though and I'm getting better at it than I was. I used to be able to type about 45 WPM and now I guess I cna hit about 65 or 70 WPM. How many words a minute can you type or do you type? About this recreation bussiness well there

isn't a whole lot to do there isn't any "five points" or anything like that around. Nothing to drink! (Man that hurts!) We usually go bowling as shoot pool or play ping-pong at the U.S.O. in town. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't a picture of yourself as I would like to have one but maybe you will dig oneof someplace.
Well I guess I better stop for now as I want to write Mom yet.
Lots of Love,
Bill
P.S. Tell your Mom & Dad I said hello and hope they are both okay.
