Dear Margie,
Its about time somebody up there wrote but I don't blame you all because I didn't write much myself. Well it looks like the Army has got all of A.O. I guess I'll have to get discharged & come back to work. How about sening some of the boys' addresses in your next letter. I just got bacj from a 3 day pass in Phoenix & I like it better than any place I've ever seen. Even KY. Some of these days I'm going to live there I'm going to live there I hope. Yeah, I remember Barney's last party. I was one drunk " " I got home & so was back. Do you ever hear from him? I heard from him once when I was at Camp Robinson & thats all. Will to tell you the truth I don't know what maijories doing
.
I haven't heard from her for a good while now the must have " " me. Can't blame her I guess I met an awful nice gal in Phoenix & had a pretty good time with her. Went " " to a park one nite & that was really OK. Know about writing everyday as I like to get letters & I'm answering all I get as soon as I get them so start writing & see if I don't. Having Betty? Tell her to write to all the boys "hello" for me, You ought to be out in the desert here. Its really nice if you like it but I don't. Will I guess I'd better answer the rest of my mail now.
So long, start writing
PVT Joe Taylor
(Esquire)
P.S. Its a good thing I answered your letter this morning because I have to box this afternoon & I might not have been able.
