August 26, 1945
Dear Marge,
I seem to be doing an awful lot of writing today. I'm trying to get all my letters out of the way so as not to have it accummulate. I just write to Bets. Thing don't happen around here. It's hard to write but I know to beacause I've recieved your letters. I hope you had a good time on your vacation. I guess Bets started " " by now. From the way you write the " " you aid was enough to trying a vacation. I can well imagine how

" " Fountain Square was where the good news was released. I saw that place on a New Years Ever and waht a crowd. Good thing the stores were boarded up. I've had a pretty busy day today started off with Church. After leave back I started to press my uniform but ended up pressing about five or six uniforms. The fellows siad they asked the way I did it. Oh well, what could I do. We had another movie this

week. It was "What Allmon" with Rosahind Russel. It was an old picture that I saw in the Army. Just the same it was good for a laugh So was US a show. THat was fill of laughs. And dam good too.
Well Marge I guess
