Recieved your letter some time ago and was very gald to hear from you. Once again I'm sorry that I haven't answered sooner, but I'm still pretty busy. And then too, with Thanksgiving and all, I managed to have a little time off so I sure took it. Of course, not I'm way behind in my correspondence but I'll just keep plugging along and see if I can caught up. Did you know that my brother is finally home and a civilian? Ye Man! He arrived in the States on the 8th I believe and was sent to Camp Shank, NY and then to Indian Town Gap, Pa for his discharge. He got home on the evening of the 13th, just two years totthe day that he set sail for England. How about that, He called me on Thursday th 15th and was I gald to hear his voice! He seemed to be OK except that he said they had a pretty rough trip back and they all got sea-sick. He still hadn't completely recovered from that, but guess it didn't last long. He was wounded in the leg, but not seriously, he claims. He never told anyone about it so Mother and Rosella was really surprised. He had written me about the escapade in which it had happened, but asked me not to mention it to anyone, so I didn't. Mother says that he really looks about the same except a little older in the face. Guess I would too if I had gone through what he had gone through. As near as I can figure he has the Good Conduct Ribbon, the ETO Ribbon with 5 battle stars, the Bronze star, the purple heart and the victory Ribbon. Must look like a Xmas tree. Here I am spouting ogg bout his stuff and perhaps he had alrady written you and told you all bout it, or perhaps Mother has. I kind of doubt if Bill has as he said that he just didn't want to do any writing for a while. I know that's the way that I will feel when I get out.

A couple of weeks ago Tommie and I and a couple of the kids took a very nive trip. We went over the Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. The Perrified Forest, and the Painted Desert. Was certainly a worthwhile trip and I wouldn't have missed it for anything. Of course, I had to blow a tire, but that was the only trouble we had on the whole trip. We took a lot of pictures but haven't gotten them develped as yet so don't know how they came out, If you ever get a chance to go out there don't miss it! Before the war I often wondered why people wnated to see Europe before they saw America and not I wonder even more. It is certainly wonderful. I'm hoping to get home for Xmas and bring Tommie too, but she is goin to be discharged right around then so if I do get home I'll probably only be there for a couple of days right at Xmas, so I probably won;t get to see youn then, but I'm hoping that it won't be too much longer before I get on myself. I'm sort of figuring on the last of February or the 1st of March sometime, so that isn't too far off. Keep you fingers crossed for me though so nothing happens. This is a beautiful Sunday afternoon, It's nice and warm for this time of year. Don't guess we'll do much of anything though as we're both broke. Too close to payday you know. We get paid next Friday. We've had 3 snow flurries so far but they didn't amount to very much. Won't be too long before we'll really be having some Winter weather though, I guess. It's pretty late this year. How're you doing on the old Time-Clock Kid? If I have to puch one of those when I get out I don't know what I'll do. In fact I don't even know how. Let's hope that I never have to learn.

Well, I'm completely stumped as to what to write. I've run out of something to say, so I guess the next best thing to say is I'll try to do better next time. When I get home for Xmas I'll try to get down to see you, but I'm sure I'll only have a day or so, so won't promise. Should be out before too awful long so will be sure to drop down to see you then. Give my regards to your folks and be a good gal now. Don't work too hard and write again when you can.
