How is little sister, you see mother lets you hold her once in a while, when you sit all still. The picture of you holding her is very nice. Dear Nelli:
I wrote to Jackie last night but didn't have tiome to mail it. As lcuk would have it we left for the range a t 6:30 instead of 8:30 that gave us a little sleep. We got here abuot seven tonight, then I had to take out a special detail until 8:45. Shower, Shave and had 15 minutes at the Px before it closed. They say tomorrow is an easy day. I sure hope so. If we can only get off carly. i will go to Elbation. I don't think there is
any hope of it. We have lost our good Co; Commanding Officier, St Wiley he is going back overseas, aslo our field sargent. He is getting out of the army. I am afraid things will be better mixed up for a while if not for the whole cycle. They say that they are cuthing off one week, as they are closing off one week, as they are closing the camp for I.R.T.C. and making it into a reception center. it is sure a hell of a place to send the boys coming back from overseas. In the beginning it was a tank training center. it is the first inf. traing that has taken place here some where about. 40. Bn's of us.
will there isn't much more to write about. I recieved the box of candy tonight and as I told Jackie I think the pcitures are swell. I also had a letter from Slat and Cochi tonight. Well I must close, as we get up at 5:30 tomorrow and must wash the windows before we fall out as we didn't have time for a houseclearing (Y.Q.) party tonight, Inspection tomorrow. We shot the B.Q.R. today at every range up to 500 yds. This next week machines gun. They say it is an easy week.
Love to all
Philips
