Dear Annie,
I recieved your most welcomed letter to-day & am answering right back. Have you noticed anything different about this letter? Well if you haven't its the date which we can put on your letters now. Gee! I'm awful sorry to hear that you mother is sick. Hope she is well by the time you receive this letter. I know you writting isn't as poor as mine for I can read your writting a lot easier then my own writing. So, you see your writting isn't so bad after all. I expect you have special occasion right after. Don't you? Ha! Ha! how many three right occasion have your had since you wrote last? I just wonder on what occasion. I guess it wouldn't do for me to know! Ha! Ha! When I do come home that will be the first place I'll head for & that is to Aunt Effies if reasonable. How will I wish this war was over

So as tocatch up with the things I've missed since I've been down here. Maybe Ican't make up with all the things but will make a little showing. I can stand anything once regard her what. So don't worry about the picture I can take it O.K. Send one if you can. I had one take after convincing off of an awful long road march & a hand days work. We had it taken one everning about four o'clock. So you can see for yourself it isn't so good but maybe will pase for this time until the future then I will have a letter one then on the way to you & I do mean a better one. So on the way to you & I do mean a netter one. So I'm sending this one to you two until the future. If you don't like it laze it up & that will be O.K! Don't let anyone tell you that a man can't spend any money on a place like this/ For they can & plenty of it to I've spent forty & fifty dollar more then one night. So don't let a man say he can't spent any for there isn't any place to spend it. He is lying!

Maybe there will be a few more pictures but don't let you mind think too much for it may be wrong. I practically know just what your thinking now. It's wrong. Yes, they can dance good for their kind of dancing. Now, who was it told you that they could dance good, give me the name of the person who wrote & told you that. We're having air service evrey ten days now. So they tell me. I'll close now hoping you two aren't working too hard this week. Hope this find you all well especially your mother.
Love to all,
Albert L. Costello
