Dear Darling,
Recieved your two most welcome letter last week and very sorry I neglected to answer the past tow days. Today is the warmest day we've had in weeks, the suns shning very bright and no wind blowing at all. I returned to the Co. area Friday nite at elven o'clock and was my feet every sore. We started back at five thirty and waled ninteen & seven tenth miles in that time and waht I mean we walked at a very fast pace. We had a fellow
that was in my barrackes got shot while on bivovae. He was going there the "German village", House to house fighting shot them the stomack & did half an hour after arriving at the hostpital, two others were shot in the foot & leg & what I mean Iit was a sad thing to see happen. All the Orders ahve come there to day for shop[ment to Fort Meade, I will have some time before Thursday but I can't tell you the exact day "Government orders" In other words I'll just get there in time for the Army of
occupation & that may mean years over there only I don't care just as long as I return. I sending crossed infantry rifles in ths letter you can war them on your coast. thats if they get there i a good condition. Well honey I haven't much to write about and its sipeper time so will sign off. Write soon.
Love Pune
"I.S.A.L.Y.D."
I SHALL ALWAYS LOVE YOUE "DARLING"
