Dear Donna,
Recieved your most welcome letter the other day, the first I've had from you in weeks but hope you start writting more often. Recieved a letter from Mother saying Snooks my best friend from Fonica where I resid to leve has been killed. Also a letter from a friend I trained with in Texas, he' s now somewhere in Germany. I just finished reading to Chicago Tribune, Sun & Sunday paper dated April 15th. Not a real good sun been the weather lately hasn't rained in weeks. We have a radio here in the city I'm now in so now

were liking to the hit payable also a ball game between the cubs and Brooklyn. Donna it may not be long before I'll be seeing you from the way thing are begining to tune out, then I'll probably have to worry about the C.B.I as the South Pacific. Well Donnaa, I can't thhink of much more to write so will close. Please excuse the poor writing but go in grove in a few minutes so have to write but write soon.
Love Verne
