Dear Donna,
Well guess I had better drop you a line first of all Ient to the Island of truck and ad planed on staying over Xmas but we were called back for a bombing mission, We left Fri 13th at 07:00 AM and flew over 9 islands on the way we bombed a volcanic island and it was smoing when we got there and was much more aftter me left there was 6 - 29 that tool off but one had to turn back as no 3 engines cut out the comd of my shoip of my shoip was capt Clayton the no was 1551 or M1 you mught read about the paper if so I was the 1st radar man under Capt. Burke

well enough for that while I was in truck I picked up a little hard boys made of shells then was not mych in callers so Idid the best I could the only thing you will have to get a zipper or something as it is open at the top. It would like to hear from you when you get it and let me know what you think of it. There just isn't too much to pick up but I will keep my eyes open but I want to hear from you so Iwill know if you canre for anything like that. Well there isn't much doing now I am kinda so that I had to come back for that

bombing mission as I was planning on staying at truck for the holiday but I am kepping my eyese open fo r another flight out some where. Well honey how is every thing with you supose you are still working at the same place. Well say hello to your folks and Mary and I will write again soon you do th same. I will send the packeages air mail so you wll get it quuicker OK
