Dear Donna,
Well I see I have a couple letters from you so I will ans them first of all one of them had my old Temp A.P.O so I will write my add out for you.

Well as I told you hun in myt last letter that IU was on my way to guagluan island it is quite a way from here bu by air 300 mile for it is only 3.5 hr flying time it is quite a place these although there have

only 11 Y.Q buildngs there and tehy have a dance hall a bowling ally and a skating Rink and of course a club lot of civilian gals we took off the 23 at 5:30 PM and got back early this morning at 1:AM we got started back rather late but we hated to leave although we all spent X-mass day in sick bay but it was worth it. Well guess that is all for that. Well honey I hope you had a nice X-mas and New years it sounded funny to here as we had a swell new year and this afternoon we heard then in the States bring in the new year but I am still sick . Well what is new in Chicago suppose upi still working the 4-10 shift

at the phone co. adn comming home at 10:15 and going right to bed __________ Just like me. You know donna I have been doing a ot of thinking since I have been here and you know the firl I have here Well she has a little longer to do over here than I do but if she were to get married Well tehy would send her home with her husband that we have checked up on and well not that I want to settle down but she is from Illinaois and all that and since she is so sweet well you know of course I will still be here a few more months and I must think it over but the only trouble is I wwould like to hit Sand Dran on my own but as I said

is the only trouble with a wife _ _ _ _/ Well the weather is still the same here on Luam and the weather is settleing so I guess that mean there wont be any more typhone here for a while. Boy thewayhoney I got in bad shape and did not mail that " " but I will try hard and get f off nu the end of the week like I saud before if you are or would be interedted I will get more than more cahnce to fo to Japan agian and if you wold can for some thing made of silk I will ame an effort or something (ans) Well honey guess I had better close for now so I can get readdu for to night and say hello to

little Mary for me and tell you folks I got their X mass Cards. Well don't work too hard and if you should< hear from Kenny or Verne tell them I will drop tehm a line and let them in on the reall doll.

Dear Donna,
Well look where the hell I'm at and of all things going to Radar school. Well haven't head from you for quite a little while but I just got here day before yesterday don't like it too well since this is the ground force school and I am a air corp man. Well there isn't much to write about school is pretty hard so far since I did not go very far in school don't really think I can make it but I asked to come not so much for the school and since you are such a cute little girl I can't explain ha. Well I might as wellaske for what you want in Jap stuff.

I can maaybe make a few suggestions P.J. - 900 yen comona = 1,000 yeb or something like that or do you want me to do the shopping nas soon cause if I don't get though school I will go back to Luam. Well I must close for now but wirite and let me knwo and all the news at home
