Dear Roy:
Received your letter of Sept. 2nd, it was a year the 10th since you went in the Army we all hope you don't have to be gone another year. Hazel said she sent you a letter two or three weeks ago but thought she only put a three cents stamp on it, was a V-Mail hope you have it by this time says she will be sure to send the next one by air mail glad you have shows to see and that you got to see Al Jolson we are all well hope you are all well hope you are well we have had a few days of cold weather had a fire in our oven all day but warmer again today haven't had our Indian summer yet suppose it will be real warm again your Dad is in bed as usual don't stay up long after he comes from work. Fred Bernett dropped died at the plant to-day. Judge Zumber was commissioned a Captain in the Army. Sent you a letter this morning.
