Dear Esther:
Well, How is every body in St. Louis? I am just fine I hope that you are the same. I recieved the "cake" today you sned to me I really can use the things that was in it and thank a lot I was just about to buy some shaving cream I was just about out ha ha. How did you get over thankgiving day. We really had a swell dinner. We had turkey mashed potatoes, gravy and lots of other things. They put enough food on my plate to feed two men, ha ha. I hear there will be a little celebration at home xmas. I wish I could come home xmas and see the wedding. But I wasn't able to get a furlough for a fellow has to be 6 months in the Army before he can get a furlough. Well I wish Sally good luck. I may do the same thing when I get back home some time maybe ha ha.
When all you going to get married? I bet it won't be very long ha ha. The Ebers family is getting smaller. The war situation sound pretty good here lately. The way the paper readed they been giving them germans hell but I don't believe all that stuff. I hope it will be over soon so I can go back in civilian life. I like that better than the army ha ha. The Army is too strict to suit me. How is the weather up there? I guess its getting pretty cold by now. It isn't too warm down here either especially at night or in the morning when we have to get up. Well Esther I am running out of news and paper, so I think I will sign off for toonight I think I'll write my sweetheart a letter yet. Don't worry about me, we are getting good meals here and I have gained 11 lbs already. Some of my cloths is getting too small for me already. Thanks again Esther for the present,
So long,
Amar
