My Precious Darling,
Well Dearling, Flights #600 + 601 jave neem shipped that means we're next on the shipping list Soon we'll be togethe again darling, isn't that swell. I can't wait much longer.
I have a fever to-day from the typboid shot we had yesterday. Everybody does, lots of fellows had to go on sick call and go to bed because of it, but not your hubby. The inoculation I heard actually gives you a dose of typboid fever. Not enough to harm you, just enough for you to build up
enough resistance so that you become immune to it. Just think darling, I'll be immune to all the more serious diseases when this is all over.
This morning we spent out on the drill field again and part of the afternoon. We had our calisthentics in the afternoon today, and on the beech. After them we took a nice plunge in the sea. That was very refreshing. Every day the drilling becomes longer and the colisthematics tougher. If we were to have done the "cols" we do today two weeks ago, we probably would have hurt ourselves. In feeling better every day, when I see darling I'm going to pick you up and throw you into the air for joy
So far we've had two weekday nites open post. Both of these I spent right here reading my books and writing and looking at my darling. I don't even have an inkling of a desire to go out. Everything is too expensive and time is too short, so I stay home. I usually try to get to bed by 9:30. You have to or you'll get sick. I could not in all my life decieve you dearest, I love you much too much. Nothing in this world is worth more to me than your trust in me and your faithfulness to me.
Darling if you would ever decieve me I'd never be the same. Your picture helps me so much I can't count how many times I've looked at it today. Every once in a while a stranger wanders into my room and wants to know who that sharp looking girl is. I say "meet the wife" and am I proud.
I wrote a letter to Henry's today and also to my parents. Tomorrow I want to write your M. and P. and Gratton if I can. I am still so dam busy I have to rush through all of them. Don't forget darling, read parts of your letters to your parenets, I hope they don't feel bad I havn't written them direct. I am really trying to kill two birds with one stone. Explain to them. Well my sweet, I must take my laundry out yet and mail your letter.
PS:- I love you very much,
All my love dearest,
Herb
