My precious Darling,
I recieved your package today and really filled myself with cookies. They were in crumbs but still very very delicious. They lasted exactly 12 hrs. I and the boys really tore into them. It was a thrill eating something that you had touched with your little hands so recently. Thanks for the chocolate and cigars too. They are all gone also. Oh well, I've been helping the other fellows along too, that how it's done down here.
I got up this morning fell out for breakfast, fell out again
and went back to bed and slept till 9:30. I was really tried from that KP. I did nothing but think of you, my darling, wash clothes, wrote letters, went to a show and saw "Casablanca", which almost made me cry thinking of you, my darling, back at 7 pm and writing letters again. After this, I go to bed and prepare myself for a hard day tomorrow.
I'm glad to hear that you like your job darling and that all the fellow remember me. Don't you dare have a good looking boss though - I won't stand for it. And furthermore don't like your job too much, you're not going to be there long.
I can't understand it darling, I've written you everyday but Monday post. I couldn't that day because of KP.
There must be some kind of delay or something. You should get a letter every day. You certainly made a swell blueprint of the shop darling and you have me wondering just want you are doing. Telling your husband that you can't tell him, because it is a military secret, the idea. What ever you do darling, don't make your hands get rough and don't hurt yourself whatever you do. Let the drill press or anything take off and fly out the window before you hurt yourself - understand.
I recieved a swell letter from Lawrence today with a cheque enclosed. The letter was five pages of type and
very interesting. He told me all about everything in the shop. He took his first physical examination in Boyerstown and thinks he may be drafted isn't that something.
Darling so dar I had two W.D. accompanied with a most wonderful dream of you darling. I simply can't stand it without you much longer. I dream all dary of the beautiful adventures we had together adn how wonderful you are. I love you so much I couldn't live without you somewhere in this world. when I first see you no matter where we are its really going to be a show. I'm going to hug and kiss you to pieces. Well darling, it shouldn't be long now. We'll probably leave next weekend. Well I better go and mail this letter and go to bed and dream of you. Good nite my wonderful darling.
? All my love
Herb
PS:- I love you dearly.
