My Precious Darlings;
You said in today's letter I should be a poet. Don't be silly, poets write beautiful things ad see things so clearly because they are old and wise or yound and have at some time suffered a horrible hurt. I have neither of these attributes so you see I could never be a poet. I write only things that I see before me related to you
Without your precious memory and inspusation I could never write nor could I think, You're my theme, Darling, and once in awhile I can find the words that allow me to express my feelings for you. Darling, I see you not as a woman, pretty and gay - laughing and having fun. These things we have without thinking and they are shallow and easy to get. I see you as a beautiful thing close to my heart yet so far away from me now.
My precious;- beauty that is yours is beauty that beats at my heart ad soul like a tempest chuming a noclay shore - beauty of love and understanding - beauty that can only exist in the heart and sould. People look for it all through their live - very few find it. Yes, my Darling I see you now like a far away beacon which I must reach in order to survive - so total in my eyes and mind like blindness and insanity. WHen we are together again we will have fun - drink and
laugh - see a beautiful movie and let it take no away completely - we will joke and laugh and enjoy ourselves proper; but our dreams will conce again come true, I will live within you and you within me. Our love will be raptinous and serene and you will be so beautiful to me - beauty untouched by wordly things. Only you, my beloved, in all this whole magnificant worl. News hasn't reached me yet concerning discharge or shippment. Perhaps next week, pray god. I love you both so very much.
My Love and Kisses
Herb
