Dear Mother + Dad:-
Well yesterday I was sure showered with mail. Six letters including your letter and card, also card from Dad. A letter from Sister also one form Miss Pier and one from Waterloo. Guess I will keep rather busy trying to find news of interest to write. I sure was pleased to hear from Sister. And the cards of Katheis you well certainly find. Well be nicie seems to carry around in one's pocket. I am glad to hear that my allotment money has reached home. When I hit the States which we all hope will be soon. I am going to have a good uniform made with
few dollars Because it might be a loing time before we are muddled out. Here I am talking as if the war is over but believe me we all have our plans made when the great day comes. Sister mentioned in her letters that recently she was sick with the "LA Yrippe". Also that I should say my sayso in your letter. because she always heras my letters read over the phone. And " " I cared. I am one please to know that you ring her up to tell her up the Yell then my news. Because as of all my friends have I think of more than her, When you phone her tell her that her most welcome letter reached me. Tickled to read its lines. But wait until the time when we win all we come to say more than we are able to write also will always be in
the look out for her letters. But one thing gets me and that she must of grown tired of teaching boys. I am glad the picture of the battery has found a favourite place. But sorry that you think that I look so old in it. George and John are not with Jay. Wonder if he has any fellows working that I know. Well when ever he see's the boys of the old bunch to say "Hello" for me and to tell Dad that I sure appreciate the card. And that it brings back the day we left old Dubuque at the C.W.U station.
