My dear Folks-
Recieved your letters dated 13th and 18th and Xmas package which was very good. You say you haven't heard from me since October. Well I didn't write for two weeks that I was on the road from the hospital so I couldn't get time. Well I am in the best of health and only hope you
folks are the same. Now you needn't worry if I get sick, I will let you know. I don't know when I will get home but it looks like spring. So cheer up, it's almost here. See you can't hurry it until peace is signed. All the troops coming now are wounded. There is no fighting division. Yes I am in the same old 82 division
I got a victory congratulations from the Red Cross headquarters at Clover. I think Clemmic is in Germany, he is in that 1st Army Corps. We were in it but have been placed in the 5th, the 26 is with us. Well I suppose tomorrow is Ruth birthday and my rest day. If I stay in the Army much longer I will be an old man. Well since I am
getting odl. I am getting me a mustache. So you see if you have none, you can't get a French girl because all French men have them. I suppose there is alot of snow up home now. We had a little but it went before you could take a look at it. We are in the center of France, the weather about
like October weather at home. Well glad a Frenchman sold a hog near or kitchen the day and got 950 Franc for it that about $180 in the U.S. money and would weight about 350lbs. Pork is more scarce than beef. I have seen some mince meat in the market over here, Eggs will cost you almost a dollar a dozen. Somethings are cheaper here than
the States. Well I will have to get ready and go to bed. All I do is eat and sleep. I can't tell you all the news because I want to have some when I get home. As ever your Son,
Scufs
328 Infantry A.R.

PS:- Don't worry as I am alright and hope to see you before many days. Give my regards to all.
