My Dear Folks,
I recieved your letters of the 1st and 3rd of January and they found me in the best of health and hope you folks are the same. They got the story going now that we are on the way home soon and it looks so. All we do now is dull so much a day. I sent you a pillow box the other day before you get it and like it. It cost me $6.00
I will try to get you some of those shells. I had one but when I went to the hospital I lost it. I could get alot of things but a fellow thinks at the battle field if I get all this stuff, I won't come out of it and if I come out of it, I will be enough of a souveneer to take home. But the ones that went to Germany got lots of them. They left lots of helments on the battle field like the ones "kld" sent so it would blow up when you picked it up. So you had to watch out. what you did. Army Divison is in Germany, I got a letter from Ruth
Did you get the clipping about our division. I would like to go back and see some more of England, its a pretty country. Well will have to close for this time. With lots of love to all
Ward

PS:- Was sorry to hear Raymond was swearing so bad. Expect to see you all before a month and a half. When I get to the States I will telegraph you. So cheer up we are all counting the days, the weather is like November here. Give my regards to all. I know I will number the letters now on.
