My Dear Mummy,
Thanks so much for your letter and enclosed calendar from Bromogrove. Like a fool I put your letter in my white flannels and thne sent them to be cleaned, so I shan't get the letter back until tomorrow. If you wanted anything in particular answering I shall have to do it on Wednesday. So glad G. is improving but I knew she would. See that she gets out at least once and day and she gets to eat whatever she likes and as much as she likes. I should like to have seen Aunty Nora, she is an aunt worht having in the way of lushs isn't she. She would write no small stir down here if she came.
A ready made coat will do perfectly alright? It is not very difficult to fit Teddy Bear because they fit so loosely. Have just had a game of soccer against 5 Cay. I play nearly every Sandy and usually every Friday also perhaps another day in the week. Did some voluntary riding the other day, Trotted out to Banossa and did a couple of jumps. Saw "On the Arenna" on Saturday at a new cinema in Fambrough. Cycled over in the afternoon wiht Cotton Minchin and Jeffins, Dick Powell, Alice Faye and Madeline Carrol were in it. It was a very good film indeed, Dick Powell has improved tremendously you would like him a lot in that I'm sure. Alice Faue simpl beautifully and Madeline Carrol looks more beautiful than
she has every looked before. She really is gorgeous, her face just about takes your breath away, And she was born in B'ham and educated in it, so it shows what the old town can do. Am going to see Stoney Weather tangetn with Tom Wall at the R.M.C flich house. Am not sure if I have not already seen it. At the moment am in th ethrowes of cleaning as we have an inspection on Monday, I may have to fall back on you to get home for the long weekend if us. Now pocket money isn't credited on 29th. Will let you home later about that. Am reading a door called "Hollywood through the back door" Very interesting and desciprive about a laddie who comes from ______ to America by frieght ship then gets a lorry lift to Los Angelos. That is so
far as I have got so far. Well I don't know that I have an awful lot more to say, nothing very much has happened this week. My room is arranged round as I rather like it - gives me more room. Must appologies for a rather shorter letter than usual but I have run rather dry. Well dear please give my love to G. and the wee lady.
All my love
Teddie
